Erin Kafieh is a Registered Nurse with more than 26 years of experience in NCQA accreditation with all product lines. 

Erin Kafieh is a Registered Nurse with more than 26 years of experience in NCQA accreditation with all product lines. Her expertise includes file review standards for Utilization Management Denials and Appeals, Credentialing, LTSS, and Case Management. She has been an NCQA surveyor since December 2022.  Erin joined Managed Healthcare Resources in July 2023 as an independent Healthcare Consultant.

Erin has led NCQA Accreditation and Distinction activities at Plan, Regional, and Corporate levels for Managed Care Organizations.  At Elevance Health, Erin directed all quality and accreditation activities across 22 Medicaid plans, including onboarding LTSS contracts. Under her guidance, four new states were awarded LTSS Distinction, and most states achieved a 4 or 5 Star rating. 

While at Aetna, Erin assisted the Commercial and Medicare business units in integrating quality and accreditation requirements into strategic and operational activities and improving compliance with NCQA’s MBHO standards for denials.  Her achievements were recognized with receiving the Aetna Excellence Award Silver Winner for Outstanding Leadership in 2010.

Erin is a leader with demonstrated competencies in operations and clinical services management, cross-departmental coordination, problem-solving,  customer relations across a diverse client base, product and plan development, and contract management.

Erin is licensed as a Registered Nurse in California. She received her Associate of Science in Nursing with High Honors from El Camino College and her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.

Erin resides in a rural mountain community in California and spends time in outdoor activities, rescuing dogs, as a Yoga instructor and a Reiki master.
